Residential
Our residential business is primarily in new home design and
construction as well as large additions and remodeling. We cater to
small, medium, and large homeowners and do exclusively custom building.
Our customers range from small starter homes to large, highly detailed,
top end homes. We pride ourselves in customer service and timely project
completion. We also have computer aided design capability and produce
our own complete plans for construction. With close customer contact and
input we will design and construct the exact home our customers desire.
We will also work with your architect or your plans to develop the best
possible combination of quality products and quality workmanship for
your project.
If you want logs or conventional we will do it. All types of exteriors
including wood, vinyl, cement board or EIFS are no problem.
Block or insulated concrete form foundations and walls are available.
From rough-ins to turnkey construction we are willing to work with you
to accomplish your goals. |

Commercial
Our commercial construction includes new structures, additions, and
remodeling. We do conventional as well as pre-engineered buildings.
Projects include restaurants, bars, retail establishments, convenience
stores, churches, motels, apartment buildings, offices, and any other
type of light commercial work. We can work from your plans or produce
our own plans in house. Wood, masonry, or steel doesn't' matter. We can
suggest the most cost-effective method to accomplish your goals. With

Pre-Engineered Buildings
As a Butler Builder we can handle any type of steel building
construction you can imagine. Butler Manufacturing is the largest and
oldest pre-engineered steel building manufacturer in the world. From the
"basic box" to the most intricate facades Butler has the capability to
produce it and Martineau & Morris Contracting has the expertise to build
it. By working with Butler Manufacturing and local architects we can
design, engineer, and build whatever you need. From manufacturing
facilities to churches and retail space we have done it.
By using
pre-engineered buildings the time and cost to design and build a project
can be greatly reduced. Conventional construction involves the hiring of
an architect/engineer to design the project. Sometimes these people are
good at estimating costs and most of the time they are not so good. By
using a design build team and pre-engineered structure the cost
estimating is much better and the time involved from design to
construction can be greatly reduced with far fewer "surprises".

Pre-Engineered Buildings
We only deal with Butler Buildings because they have the best products
and the best engineering in the industry. We want to make sure the job
is done right. Many pre-engineered building manufacturers are more
concerned with the price than the quality of the products and the
quality of the engineering. The Copper Country requires very unique
engineering compared to most other areas of the country. When you have
the potential for 300-400 inches of snow per year you have to make sure
that your building is properly designed to handle these kinds of loads.
Not everybody thinks that this is an issue. We have rebuilt many

Spray on Fireproofing

As a general contractor we know the importance of teamwork in the
completion of any project. We have all of the Fireproofing products
necessary to effectively and economically fireproof any type of steel
structure that requires passive fire protection.
We are a licensed applicator for the complete line of "Cafco" commercial
Sprayed Fire Restive Materials. These products include; Cafco Blaze
Shield II, Cafco 300, Cafco 400, and Cafco Fendolite MII.
The latest innovation in fireproofing products are Cafco Spray Film WBII,
WBIII, and WBIV intumescent paints. If your project requires the fire
proofing of exposed structural steel that is part of the architectural
scheme, then Cafco Sprayfilm is the product of choice. We can provide
1hr., 2hr., or 3hr. ratings for both interior and exterior exposure. And
all of these products are waterbased for ease of application and low VOC
ratings. |

Spray on Fireproofing
We are also licensed for the application of all of "Cafco" industrial
Sprayed Fire Resistive and insulation materials. These products include
Cafco Fendolite MII, Cafco Ceramospray, and Cafco Cryagenic.
Other Cafco products we install include; Cafco Heat Shield spray on
insulation, Cafco Top Coat durable coating products for low density
fireproofing applications, and Cafco Board rigid fireproofing.
All Cafco products are produced without asbestos and carry complete
Underwriters Laboratory listings.
This is the most complete line of fireproofing products available from
one manufacturer. Single source manufacturing is extremely important in
today's construction environment. Why worry about utilizing products

Property Development
You want lakeshore property? You've come to the right place. We are
currently developing "EAGLE POINT
PRESERVE". This is a 32-lot
development on Torch Lake in Tamarac, Michigan.
Torch Lake is a deep-water inland lake with boat access to the Portage
Waterway and Lake Superior. It is located between the cities of Hancock
and Lake Linden, Michigan on highway M-26. Torch Lake offers outstanding
walleye, northern pike, smallmouth bass, and panfishing. State record
class fish are available and master angler class fish are common. The
championship In Fisherman PWT (Professional Walleye Trail) tournament
will be held again this year September 16-18 on Portage & Torch Lakes.

Property Development
EAGLE POINT PRESERVE
will include all city services including water, sewer, natural gas,
underground electric and county owned paved road access to all lots. All
lots include at least 200' of lakeshore with some substantially larger.
Most lots are primarily suited to residential single family home
construction and some would be suited to lakeshore commercial
development such as marina, motel, or condominiums. We will build
whatever you desire with the exception of mobile homes or double wides.
These will not
be allowed.
Lots in EAGLE POINT PRESERVE
are extremely flat and very easy to build on without the need for large
amounts of site development. The shoreline drops off quite quickly on
most lots so that long docks are not required to tie up your boat.
Sailboat mooring is not a problem. |
